'The Doctors' Run For Ovarian Cancer Cure
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―
The Ovarian Cancer Coalition held their 10th Annual Run/Walk Sunday at CBS Radford's Studio City lot Sunday with 1,500 and four special guest runners.
Those special guests, namely, TV's "The Doctors."
Daytime TV's newest syndication hit airs on KCAL 9 Monday - Friday at 11 a.m.
The doctors came to rev up the crowd and to get a little running in while they were at it.
Dr. Travis Stork, "The Doctors" host, came with his dog. The former "Bachelor in Paris" charmed the ladies and most dog enthusiasts, too.
Dr. Lisa Masterson stressed early detection to the women on hand and met many cancer survivors as well as people running for friends who succumbed to the disease. "That was very powerful and moving," she said.
Plastic surgeon Andrew Ordon advised all the runners, despite the overcast skies, "to not forgot your sun screen."
And pediatrician Dr. James Sears, natch, was charged with running with the kids and making sure everyone in the Kiddie Korps was well taken care of.
The race/run raised more than $100,000, say organizers.
